Death by Force

On March 10, 2024, 19-year-old Makala Lacy was fatally shot during a car club meetup near Grimes Park in southeast Houston. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the 5100 block of Reed Road, where a large crowd had gathered for the event. Upon arrival, Houston Police Department officers found Lacy in the median with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical assistance, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
