On March 29, 2024, 34-year-old Jaime Torres-DeLeon was fatally shot during a barbecue gathering in Houston's Northshore neighborhood. The event, held at a residence in the 800 block of Catherwood Place, was attended by 20 to 30 people, including children. Witnesses reported that 22-year-old Ricardo Domingo Reyna, under the influence of substances, became disruptive and was asked to leave the party.
