On April 3, 2024, at approximately 8:35 a.m., 45-year-old John Gordon Drake was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his vehicle parked in front of the Taylor Police Department in Taylor, Texas. An officer noticed the unusual parking and discovered Drake's body upon investigation.
