On March 18, 2017, 58-year-old African American male Joseph Davis was found deceased from gunshot wounds in the kitchen of a residence located in the 6700 block of Brutus Street in New Orleans East. Two other individuals, 66-year-old African American male Clifton Norbert Jr. and 57-year-old African American female Catherine Caufield, were also found shot to death at the scene.
