On April 4, 2024, at approximately 1:14 a.m., Waco Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of North 6th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Austin Bowar suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
