On May 15, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 32-year-old César Alfonso Herrera Ávalos was fatally shot outside a business in the 4400 block of West Illinois Avenue in Dallas, Texas. An unidentified individual transported him to a local hospital in a private vehicle, where he succumbed to his injuries.
