On May 19, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Alcorn Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old José Isidro Granados-Cerritos deceased in a pickup truck, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. A 12-year-old boy, also in the vehicle, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Two other occupants, including the driver and another juvenile, were unharmed.
