Anthony Ray Patterson, a 47-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on August 6, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. Patterson was shot and killed in what was believed to be a case of mistaken identity. He had borrowed a car to run an errand when the gunman, who was reportedly looking for someone else who had been in the same vehicle, opened fire. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and Patterson was caught in the crossfire while inside the car.
