In the early hours of June 3, 2024, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Macon Drive, near Bexar Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 17-year-old Zayvyon Damund Jones lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. Jones was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
