On June 7, 2024, 17-year-old Mario Jordan II was fatally shot at The Abbey at Briar Forest Apartments in Houston, Texas. According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), Jordan and his 21-year-old girlfriend had returned to his apartment when two men entered, robbed him of his jewelry, and shot him once in the arm. Emergency responders found Jordan unresponsive; despite medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
