On June 9, 2024, at approximately 10:45 PM, Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of N. Masters Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Kevin Hernandez lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations revealed that two males in an SUV had entered the convenience store parking lot and confronted Hernandez. After the confrontation, the suspects fled the scene.
