On June 20, 2024, 55-year-old Jorge Baeza-Cantu was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds at an abandoned construction site in northeast Harris County, near the 5600 block of East Hillside Drive, close to the Eastex Freeway and Lauder Road.

The discovery was made around 8:30 a.m. by a friend of the victim.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested 42-year-old Jeremisaac Vilano (born August 8, 1981) in connection with the murder. Vilano was charged with the murder ...
