Death by Force

On June 30, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Port Arthur police responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of Procter Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Troyne E’shon Mitchell, known as "T-ro," inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was immediately transported to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, where he was pronounced dead. Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
