On July 2, 2024, 32-year-old Tonya Davis was fatally shot at her residence in the Woodlake Villas apartment complex, located in the 6000 block of Woodlake Parkway on San Antonio's east side. Bexar County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting and found Davis with multiple gunshot wounds to her back. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries.
