On the night of July 9, 2024, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Houston police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 10000 block of Club Creek Drive in southwest Houston. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Claudio Diaz lying in the roadway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite officers' immediate first aid efforts, Mr. Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations revealed that Mr.
Diaz had been involved in a physical altercation with two unidentified individuals prior to the shooting. During the confrontation, one of the suspects produced a firearm and shot Mr. Diaz multiple times. Both suspects fled the scene on foot immediately after the shooting.
In an effort to identify and apprehend the suspects, the Houston Police Department released a composite sketch of one of the individuals involved. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 16 to 19 years old, with a slim build and medium-length hair. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a red shirt and shorts.
As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made in connection with Mr. Diaz's death.
