On July 20, 2024, at approximately 3:54 a.m., 24-year-old Omar Infante Jr. was fatally shot at the Gonzalez Place Apartments, located at 4101 Rich Beem Boulevard in far East El Paso, Texas. The incident began during a small gathering at an apartment within the complex, where an argument erupted between Infante and 19-year-old Noah Daniel Lomeli over their opposing gang affiliations.
