On July 30, 2024, 18-year-old Ángel Nectalí Bonilla was found deceased inside a residence in the 400 block of West California Street in Nacogdoches, Texas. The Nacogdoches Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the home had been struck multiple times by gunfire and found Bonilla inside, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
