On the evening of September 20, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Houston police officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Braeswood Plaza apartment complex, located at 5430 Birdwood Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Robert Culver, 63, unresponsive inside an apartment, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced Mr. Culver deceased at the scene.
