On October 15, 2024, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 5900 block of Highland Village Drive, located in the Southeast Oak Cliff neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 36-year-old Quentin Brown lying in the parking lot of an apartment complex with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported Brown to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
