Keshan Ramonce Cage was a 20-year-old Black man from Austin, Texas, remembered by loved ones as loving, kind, and caring. To some, he was known by the nickname "Keke." His life was cut short by an act of violence in the fall of 2024.
On the night of October 16, 2024, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Austin police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 2121 Burton Drive in Southeast Austin. When they arrived at the scene, they found Keshan suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was pronounced dead at the location.
Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists from the Austin Police Department were dispatched to investigate. After processing the scene, they determined that an unidentified suspect had shot Keshan.
