On the night of October 16, 2024, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Killeen Police Department officers responded to a 911 call reporting a gunshot victim in the 800 block of West Avenue D. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Anthony Glenn Powell suffering from a gunshot wound. Powell was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition.
