On October 17, 2024, 24-year-old Darrell Keith Davis of Austin, Texas, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Wells Branch Parkway. First responders found Davis in a building breezeway, administered CPR, and resuscitated him, but he later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
