On April 1, 2023, 51-year-old Andrew Gutierrez was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred near the intersection of East 1st Street and North Chicago Street. According to reports, Gutierrez was standing outside when a vehicle approached, and an occupant opened fire, striking him multiple times. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Gutierrez to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
