On April 21, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, 40-year-old Taurean Davis was fatally shot in a parking lot near Main Street and Century Boulevard in South Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Davis was approached by two individuals who opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. After the shooting, Davis managed to enter a vehicle, where he was found by responding officers and paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Coroner's office identified the victim as Taurean Davis, noting that the manner of death was homicide and the cause was multiple gunshot wounds.
