On May 22, 2023, 55-year-old Gary Norwood Sr. was fatally shot in Stockton, California. The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. near 8th and B Street, an area where sideshow activity had been reported prior to the shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found Norwood deceased at the scene. Two other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
