On June 15, 2023, at approximately 12:02 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 15000 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sylmar, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old John Diosdado lying on the sidewalk, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention from Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, Diosdado was pronounced dead at the scene.
