On July 27, 2023, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Oakland police responded to reports of a person down near 7th Avenue and International Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered 49-year-old Satyan Dave, a British national from Hendon, London, suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, Dave was pronounced dead at the scene.
