On August 1, 2023, 29-year-old Delicia Elizabeth Ojeda was found dead from a gunshot wound in a hotel room in Oakland, California. Surveillance footage showed her entering the room with a man, later identified as Gonzalez-Ortega. He was seen leaving the room alone, covered in blood.
