On August 13, 2023, Rodney Rhodes, a 57-year-old resident of Stockton, California, was found deceased in the 400 block of North Anteros Avenue in east Stockton. Responding to reports of a person down around 3:15 p.m., deputies from the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office discovered Rhodes with at least one gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
