On October 21, 2023, at approximately 12:32 a.m., the Santa Maria Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of North School Street in Santa Maria, California. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a large backyard party had been underway when gunfire erupted, resulting in multiple injuries.
