On November 13, 2023, 27-year-old Javier Medina was found with critical gunshot wounds in the 400 block of East Bradley Avenue, an unincorporated area near El Cajon, California. Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department responded promptly, and Medina was transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on November 15.
