Aristeo Soriano, age 48, was shot and killed on August 9, 2017, while walking home from work in Chicago, Illinois. Soriano had been working at a local bakery, and his death took place in the Little Village neighborhood, a community often dealing with high levels of violence. Soriano was known as a hardworking father of four and a grandfather of five. He had been working in Chicago for 20 years, supporting his family back in Mexico, who had not seen him during all those years.
