On December 13, 2023, at approximately 2:40 a.m., 48-year-old Jorge Rodolfo Villagran was fatally shot near the intersection of San Jose and Plymouth Avenues in San Francisco's Oceanview neighborhood. Responding officers from the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) found Villagran suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, SFPD officers arrested 46-year-old Christopher Kyle Marsh on December 14, 2023, in the 5500 block of Mission Street. Marsh was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of homicide, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, he had two outstanding arrest warrants from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shooting or the nature of the relationship between Villagran and Marsh.
