Justin Valdez, a 20-year-old student at San Francisco State University, tragically lost his life on September 23, 2013. Valdez was shot and killed while exiting the M-Oceanview Muni line at Randolph and Bright streets in San Francisco's Ingleside District. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. as he was returning home from water polo practice.
