On January 6, 2024, 20-year-old Ralph White was fatally shot in a triple shooting near Julian and South Phelps streets in southeast Stockton, California. Two other individuals, aged 17 and 19, sustained non-fatal injuries in the incident. Ralph White was the nephew of former Stockton City Councilman and anti-violence advocate, also named Ralph Lee White. The elder White described his nephew as a quiet young man who was not involved in gangs and had recently become a father.
