Ram Chun, a young boy of Cambodian descent, tragically lost his life on January 17, 1989, during the Cleveland Elementary School shooting in Stockton, California. This horrific event unfolded when a 24-year-old gunman named Patrick Purdy entered the school playground during recess and began firing indiscriminately.
