On March 25, 2024, at approximately 11:55 p.m., 23-year-old Nahun Viera Cortes Jr. was fatally shot at his residence in the 500 block of North Normandie Avenue, situated between Sixth Street and Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Olympic Division responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at the location and discovered Cortes Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead ...
