In the early hours of May 26, 2024, around 3:00 a.m., the Tracy Police Department responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the parking lot of a gas station located in the 3400 block of North Tracy Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced one victim, identified as 23-year-old Alexander Gabriel Aguon from Stockton, California, deceased at the scene.
The second victim was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
The Tracy Police Department's General Investigations Unit (GIU) took over the investigation, leading to road closures in the area throughout the day. Initially, no suspect information was available. However, in October 2024, police released surveillance images of four suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. The suspects are thought to be from Stockton, with one described as an Asian male dressed in black, featuring a tattoo above his right eye.
