On August 29, 2024, at approximately 2:23 a.m., Stockton Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of East Iris Avenue, located just north of East Hammer Lane in Stockton, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Stockton resident Princeton Holman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Holman was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office officially identified Holman as the victim the following day. His death marked the 34th homicide in Stockton for the year 2024, reflecting a concerning trend in the city's violent crime rate.
In the ensuing investigation, Stockton police arrested 33-year-old Quincy Walker on September 2, 2024, in connection with Holman's death. Walker faces multiple charges, including homicide, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carjacking, conspiracy, and robbery. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail shortly before 8 p.m. on the day of his arrest.
