On September 2, 2024, at approximately 9:35 p.m., 20-year-old Antioch resident Elijah Scales was shot in the head on the 2100 block of Peppertree Way near Sycamore Drive. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on September 5.
