Lamar Payne

On September 7, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m., 50-year-old Lamar Payne of Stockton, California, was fatally shot in East Oakland. After parking his Porsche near a park, Payne walked to the 10500 block of E Street, where he was confronted and shot by at least one assailant who subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle. During the incident, a passing vehicle was also struck by gunfire, causing minor injuries to its driver, who later sought medical attention independently.
