Upon forcibly entering the home, officers discovered the bodies of Morgan and her 17-year-old son, Cole Miller, both deceased from gunshot wounds. Evidence at the scene, including a handgun found nearby, led investigators to consider the incident a murder-suicide, with Morgan believed to have fatally shot
her son before taking her own life.
Cole Miller was a passionate gamer, connecting with fellow enthusiasts nationwide. In his younger years, he developed a fascination with dinosaurs, often creating detailed drawings of imagined species. Academically ambitious, Cole was on track to complete high school ahead of schedule and had plans to enroll in courses at a local junior college. He is deeply mourned by his father, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins across California, Florida, and New Mexico. A celebration of his life is scheduled for January 2025.
