On October 27, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m., a tragic shooting occurred at a house party in the 3600 block of West El Segundo Boulevard in Hawthorne, California. During the event, an unidentified male suspect entered the backyard where the gathering was taking place and opened fire, fatally wounding two individuals. The victims were identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as 30-year-old Joe Reyes Vasquez and 29-year-old Juan Lopez.
