On October 29, 2024, 38-year-old Yolanda Catalán Pastul was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle located in the 800 block of South Berendo Street in Los Angeles' Koreatown neighborhood. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office classified her death as a homicide.
