On a summer evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 23-year-old Mark Thomas Jr. was tragically cut short. On July 28, 2023, officers responded to a call of a shooting at an apartment complex in the Berclair neighborhood. There, in the parking lot on Summer Avenue, they found Thomas, a male, who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
