On May 5, 2007, at approximately 2 a.m., 18-year-old Jonathan Cazares was fatally shot at 900 Zindler Street in Houston, Texas. Responding officers from the Houston Police Department discovered Cazares with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading to the shooting were not immediately clear, and no suspects were identified at the time. The HPD Homicide Division, led by Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer R. P.
