On March 22, 2024, Kingsport Police Department officers responded to a medical emergency in the 600 block of Lovedale Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old William Wilson inside a residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Officers and Sullivan County EMS provided immediate medical assistance before transporting Wilson to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
