On July 1, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee, 28-year-old Anthonese "Niecy" Stewart was tragically shot and killed, along with her father, Gary Newman. The incident occurred at their residence on Newfound Gap Road in southeast Shelby County. Authorities identified Stewart's ex-boyfriend, 28-year-old Jaylan McCollins, as the primary suspect in the double homicide.
