Death by Force

On July 14, 2024, 20-year-old Jamani N. Parker was found unresponsive at the Alta Lake Greenway trailhead in Hermitage, Tennessee. Employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers discovered her around 10 a.m. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A preliminary autopsy by the Medical Examiner confirmed that Parker had been fatally shot.
