On October 26, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Cordova, Tennessee, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Jonathan Scott Hurdle. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) received a report just after 7 a.m. about a man with a gunshot wound found deceased inside a car. The vehicle had crashed into a fence off the road in the 9300 block of Macon Road, just east of Rebel Road in Cordova.
